On March 6, 2018 the Polish Green PE partners held their first workshop to discuss results of demonstration pilots in Warsaw. The project partners took the opportunity to summarise main conclusions from the technology roadmap developed within the project. The Polish Chamber of Commerce for Electronics and Telecommunications (KIGEiT) together with Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) organised this workshop. Around 30 representatives of a wide range of companies and research institutes from energy and ICT sectors participated.
KIGEiT’s President Stefan Kamiński opened the workshop with a welcome speech, followed by vice-president’s Jarosław Tworóg’s introduction to the main topics of the Green PE project with focus on the roadmap. After that, Mariusz Sochacki (WUT) presented the technical aspects of the demonstration pilots.
During the workshop, the participating companies expressed their interest in semiconductor elements applicable in devices for intelligent micro-energy management (single solar panels, energy storage etc.). The subject is strongly related to the current discussion in Poland about building 5G and recent governmental changes that affected the energy sector in Poland.
The workshop was integrated to the annual TIME Economic Forum which is a common project of the two main chambers of commerce for the digital industry in Poland: KIGEiT and the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications. The goal is to shape the specialisation of the Polish digital industry, according to its possibilities and aspirations.
With this workshop KIGEiT and WUT encouraged companies to involve themselves in the current demonstration pilots and offered consulting opportunities in their technical area.
